UX Designer & Product Strategist
I am the Co-Founder and Partner at Giro54, one of the agencies that pioneered the User Experience (UX) field in Latin America.
My partner Nora Blanco and I created Giro54 in 2006 after working in Silicon Valley for several years. We help companies and startups build digital experiences by integrating technology, business and user-centered design with a rigorous method that involves real users throughout the development process.
Our services encompass user research, design and development of mobile apps and websites, business process planning, SaaS solutions and UX & Design Thinking training.
Advisor
It's a tough road ahead for the early-stage digital startup. Resources, talent and time are scarce and hard to find. A misstep or a wrong decision can make an entire project go off the rails. I advise entrepreneurs on how to make User Experience a key differentiator for their products.
Companies are going through the biggest disruption of the past 50 years. I help executives build and manage teams that can ride the digital transformation successfully by integrating the UX into their business and brand strategies.
Speaker
I teach, write and speak about User Experience, Usability and Digital Design at educational institutions, companies and events.
I teach UX at MIND, a postgraduate program at the University of San Andres aimed at executives, managers and entrepreneurs willing to get the tools and knowledge necessary to lead the digital revolution in their organizations.
Bio
I started my professional career in Buenos Aires at the dawn of the World Wide Web. In 1996 I joined the team that launched one of the first digital newspapers in Spanish: Clarin. Since then, I never stopped building digital products.
I have worked in London, Miami and Silicon Valley as Sr. Interaction Designer and Manager for Yahoo's User Experience Design. I was part of the team in charge of launching Yahoo's verticals in Europe, Australia, India, and Latin America. I specialized in internationalization and localization, in other words: how people's culture and context matter more than visuals in the success of a product.
I co-founded Giro54, a strategic design and UX consulting agency, with the goal of applying a user-centered philosophy to the development of online and offline experiences for clients in Latin America and the world.
At the same time, I have also pursued my passion for Education. I teach UX at MIND, a postgraduate program at the University of San Andres and have been an Assistant Professor of Design and Typography at the University of Buenos Aires for 5 years.
